Grief Loss Change

I have worked with individuals and families for over 25 years, as a pastoral counselor, the founder of Brooke's Place for Grieving Young People, and a licensed therapist. Issues and concerns causing distress might best be resolved or reconciled through professional assistance. Common examples that clients seek my help may be relative to the death of a loved one, infertility, miscarriage, disease management, terminal illness, broken relationships, divorce, parent-child discord, empty nest, aging parents, job dissatisfaction, unexpected career loss, and faith values. I can support you best by creating a collaborative relationship so that you can discover your strengths and in so doing you can design solutions until hope emerges and you can embrace the future more confidently. As the founding director of Brookes Place, I can share what grievers of all ages (2-80+) have taught me. I have extensive experience in working with children, teens and young adults and can teach you proven ways to communicate with your peers or parents. I am a trained victims advocate and have provided trauma counseling locally and on the national level. I supported victims and survivors of the terrorist attack on the WTC and the United flight that plunged to earth in Pennsylvania on 9/11. My experience and training provides a caring and professional environment for you to explore your concerns.

Grief Counseling Indianapolis

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 9 years experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults, mainly in the area of grief and loss. Through my work at Brooke's Place for Grieving Young People, www.brookesplace.org, I have been taught by countless numbers of individuals, ranging in ages 3 - adults, about grieving the death of someone significant. Death is the ultimate loss. However, each loss in life is significant. My practice provides a safe place for you to work through any loss or relationship issue. Other areas I work with include depression, anxiety and self esteem. Grieving is natural and is your unique way of experiencing any loss. Choosing to grieve any loss is a courageous step. I will walk with you in your grief journey, at your speed and duration. How you choose to express your story is up to you. I will offer you acceptance while sharing your story. Are you experiencing loss through death, relationship, experiences from childhood, career choices, children transitioning, or other losses? Do you yearn for greater intimacy in relationships? Where there is death or loss, there is life, love, faith, hope and joy. Doing the work of grief is not easy; it IS REAL! And, you are worth it.

I work with children of all ages and college students. I enjoy working with families in forming solid attachments, abuse and trauma post-care, teaching parenting skills, working with learning and physical disabled, and helping foster children transition. I also work with families on a whole to discuss problems and issues and try to find healthy solutions for grieving families, blending families, and foster/adoptive families.
